This was a property we had recently carried out work in creating a large driveway and a low garden wall, due to the high standard of our previous work we were asked to carry out additional work to the property.
First we carried out a overhaul of the front entrance that involved building two new pillars on the end of the existing entrance wall and creating a curved top to the section of wall connecting the existing and new pillar to give the wall a bit of caricature. The entrance then required edging at the road with granite setts before being resurfaced with a new surface course of tarmac. Now finished the fitting of an electric gate will be fitted to complete the entrance.
Second part of the project involved building a new section of fence on the boundary where previously we had cleared a large section of undergrowth and trees. Due to the section of fence being exposed to the wind we decided to build the panels on site. The section of fence was over 80 meters in length and 6ft high and constructed of 9ft concrete post concreted at 6ft intervals with a 1ft gravel board between. Next panels were built using 4 by 2 crossing rails and 6 by 1 vertical boards with a 3 inch gap on both sides allowing wind to pass through yet creating a solid looking fence. A small extension to the garden wall was also added before the existing field was levelled and reseeded to complete the work.
