This project involved a large drive at Upleadon in Gloucestershire. The original drive had been tarmaced about 20 years ago and had started to break up and become unsightly. First the old Tarmac drive was removed and the sub base regraded and compacted . Next a layer of sharpe sand is compacted and screened to the correct falls and levels . The paviors chosen were Marshalls savannah in the colour traditional. All three sizes were used and a charcoal standard Pavior was used to edge the whole drive. Once the paviors are all laid and cut in place ,kiln dried sand is swept into all the jionts then the whole drive is given a final pass with a compacter plate fitted with a rubber Matt to protect the paviors.
