Paved drive in Ledbury. Here the old concrete drive was in need of widening due to an extension and for extra parking space. First the old concrete is broken up and removed along with the soil from widening the drive. Next acho channels are concreted in front of the garage and connected to the existing soak away,also new edgeing kerbs are concreted in place before a layer of sub base is compacted. A layer of sharpe sand is then compacted and screened to the required levels before the paviors are laid and the edges cut ready for the kiln dried sand. Due to the damp weather only a limited amount of sand is swept in before a final compaction of the Paviors,the remaining sand will be swept in when the drive is completely dry. To finish of the drive the drop kerb was widened for the extra parking.
