This existing driveway in Hereford was made up of concrete sections that had become cracked and dangerous as well as being too small to turn their car around on so they could drive forwards onto the busy main road. The old concrete was broken up and taken away for recycling before extending the driveway and excavating to a depth off approximately 225mm. Next the sub base layer was compacted and the edgeing paviors concreted in place before the screening sand was also compacted and screened to the correct levels. Marshals savannah paviors in their autumn colour were laid in a herringbone pattern, all cuts done and finally kiln dried sand swept into all joints and paviors compacted with a vibrating compaction plate fitted with a rubber Matt to protect the paviors.
