This project involved refurbishment of an old existing concrete drive and adding a new parking area that would leave a more level parking space to aid the getting in and out of the vehicle . First stage was to break out the existing concrete in front of the garage and concrete in place a line of acho channels that were connected to the existing drain to take away the surface water that would run towards the garage. Next the new parking area was built up in compacted layers to the required level before the whole area becomes edged in a red Pavior. Finally the existing concrete drive was coated in a bitumen tack coat to help bond the new Tarmac surface which consisted of two 30mm compacted layers of 6mm SMA(stone mastic asphalt) to complete the new drive .
