This project involved block paving of the driveway and entrance ,along with two sections of fencing and a set of brick pillars for new entrance gates to be fitted at a later date.
First up was the removal of an old overgrown hedge at the front of the property followed by the building of two new pillars for the new entrance gates to be fitted at a later date.
Next the existing driveway was prepared along with the installation of a section of acho channels to take any surface water from the new paving away from the garages and into a nearby ditch. Once the areas to be paved were sanded and screened the paviors were laid. The main driveway was paved with Marshall’s tegula paviors In the traditional colour and the entrance was paved with Marshall’s argent paviors which have a textured finish to give a good grip when entering from the road or leaving the property.
Along with the paving and pillars, two sections of fencing were erected. The first section was a close board fence erected alongside the road to link the new brick pillars to the existing section of hedge . The other section of fencing was an unconventional build using four different width timber pales also at random heights and fixed to a new post and rail fence. This created a fence to the garden but with it’s random look provided a soft edge that didn’t stand out against the shrubs and trees bordering the garden. All together a stunning finish to a stunning property.
