This was a patio that had been partly prepared by the biulder and just needed finishing. A design using curved edges to soften the edge were the patio meets the lawn was created using brindle paviors which also picture frame the whole patio . The main area of the patio was completed in Indian sandstone using a 5 size project pack in the colour Sahara and finally pointed using a buff resin mortar.

This patio was laid in a unconventional way using a 4mm grit as a bedding material for the slabs, this allowed for a high degree of drainage in the patio area which was a concern for the owner. The grit was also used as a form of pointing to aid drainage and also to aid the removal of individual slabs should access be needed to underground services. The patio area was laid using Marshall’s sawn versuro paving in a project pack in the golden sandstone colour, these are a premium product with a quality finish producing a stunning patio.
Another example of the ever popular Indian sandstone being used for a patio area. The sandstone was used to cover an old existing patio as well as enlarging the are slightly. Laying the patio over the old original patio allowed us to reduce the height into the house and allow for the construction of 2 new shallow steps which were a must for the customer for access on to the patio from the house.
