This project involved excavating the old part concrete ,part soil driveway to depth of approximately 200mm and removing from site. Next a sub base layer of stone is compacted along with new kerb edgeings. Drainage channels are concreted at the front of the driveway an linked to a new soak away under the driveway to meet planning regulations for dealing with surface water run off. A layer of sharp sand is then compacted and screened before the Paviors are laid and the edges cut in place. Finally kiln dried sand is swept in to all jionts and the whole area compacted with a compactor plate fitted with a rubber Matt leaving a completed new driveway.
