This stunning property on the outskirts of Newent required an existing Tarmac drive to be resurfaced and the old crumbling brick edgeing to be replaced. First of all the old brick edgeing was removed prior to to new granite setts being concreted in place,a silver gray colour being chosen. Due to the majority of the existing Tarmac being just old but still in a reasonable condition it only required an overlay of a new surface course. First an area at the entrance required the existing Tarmac to be removed and the sub base recompacted due to damage caused by the surrounding tree roots. This area required a 50 mm layer of base course prior to the whole drive being resurfaced with a 40 mm surface course of 6mm hra . This with the granite sett edging created a stunning new look driveway.
