This driveway is shared by two properties and consisted of an old tarmaced surface and a gravelled area that had both become worn and need of refurbishment. First the gravelled area was excavated and a 150mm layer of crushed stone sub base compacted. Next the old tarmac surface was removed and the existing sub base regraded and compacted. Next a layer of sharpe sand is compacted and screened to the correct falls and levels before the paviors are laid . The paviors chosen were Marshalls tegula in the traditional colour. A one sized Pavior was used and laid in a herringbone pattern to give a regular pattern with optimum strength. Finally the edge paviors are cut and kiln dried sand swept into all jionts and a final compaction of the paviors to complete the driveway. Another stunning driveway and happy customer.
