This property was in need of a major refurbishment of the patios and paths around the house and the tarmaced driveway . Due to the shallow drains and already sound concrete base it was decided to widen some of the paths then lay the new paving slabs on top of the existing base . A textured buff slab was chosen to brighten up the areas and give a non slip surface . These were laid on a full bed of mortar and a gap was left around the edges which would be filled with a matching gravel to aid drainage. The existing tarmaced driveway was also refurbished by firstly cleaning of all the moss and loose debris with our rotary jet cleaner so to give a sound surface to work on . This area was then coated with a bitumen tac coat to help the new Tarmac surface bind to the old . Next a 6mm SMA surface course was laid and compacted to leave a once again new looking driveway. The new look patio and driveway have given the property a new lease of life being cost effective and limited disturbance to the customer.
