This recently completed new build at Lea Ross on Wye required a new driveway, new gate posts and a new Tarmac entrance . Marshalls 60mm standard paviors were chosen using brindle as the main infill with a charcoal and red surround . Some of the drive had been stoned by the builder to provide a temporary parking area, this needed to be extended to provide a turning area . Once this was excavated and a layer of 150 mm sub base compacted the area was edged in concrete kerbs on a concrete base . This was followed by concreting a line of acho channels across the entrance along with a new soak away to meet the current building regulations to deal with the surface water run off from the drive . Next the sharp sand bed was compacted and screened before the paviors were laid and cut to complete the drive . Finally the new metal gate posts were fitted and the entrance was resurfaced using a Tarmac hot rolled asphalt finish .
