This project involved expanding the parking area at local business Ledbury exhaust and MOT centre. Due to a new wheel alignment bay being installed the original parking area was too small to cope with the increase in vehicles and the original stone parking area was causing dirt and grit to be trafficked on to the new work area. The solution was to demolish the existing wall, dig out the grassed area to one side before rebuilding the wall further over so opening up a larger parking area directly in front off the new work area. Next a layer of sub base was compacted and graded ready for the Tarmac surface to be laid. Due to volume of traffic and constant turning a surface of 50mm of 20mm base binder was laid then finished with a 40mm compacted layer off 10mm HRA to give a durable new Tarmac parking area .
