Due to the development of four new properties and and near completion of a single new build we were asked to carry out the laying of six new water pipes and a sewer connection and connecting pipe work. With our extensive knowledge of utilities and relevant qualifications we were able to complete this project. The new water services consisted of six 32 mm water pipes laid over a length of approximately 100 mts consisting of mainly excavations In the grass verge but also a road crossing. The new water pipes were laid at a average depth of 900mm ,sand was used around the pipes for protection prior to backfilling. A water pipe below warning tape was also placed above the pipes to warn future contractors when carrying out excavations. The new sewer pipe consisted of laying approximately 60mts of 150mm pipe and a new connection into an existing manhole. This work was carried out in the grass verge. The pipe work is laid on a pea gravel bed and also covered by the same material, once again a warning tape is placed above the pipe work for future warning. Once completed the relevant paper work is completed and sent to Worcestershire highways department.
